Claire Foy to star in Doomsday Machine

Sheera Frenkel and Cecilia Kang’s bestselling book An Ugly Truth: Inside Facebook’s Battle for Domination will be adapted into the television series Doomsday Machine, which will star Claire Foy as Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Doomsday Machine is a “riveting human drama chronicling the political and social minefields Facebook has navigated on its relentless quest for growth,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ayad Akhtar, a Pulitzer Prize–winning playwright, will write the series. Frenkel and Kang will serve as consultants and executive producers.

Eddie Redmayne to star in film adaptation of Mindf*ck

Eddie Redmayne will star as Christopher Wylie in a yet untitled movie based on Wylie’s book Mindf*ck: Cambridge Analytica and the Plot to Break America. Paul Bettany will portray Alexander Nix, CEO of Cambridge Analytica, and two-time Oscar winner Peter Farrelly is in talks to direct the movie.

Mindf*ck to be a feature film

Christopher Wylie’s book Mindf*ck: Cambridge Analytica and the Plot to Break America is being turned into a film. It will be produced by AGBO, the studio helmed by Marvel directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Avengers: Endgame screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely wrote the script.
